Another Introduction.....

Meet Miss Liz Starley! Liz is currently a student at Utah Valley University on both and Academic and Ballet scholarships where she is working towards her BFA in Integrated Studies. She has had 13 years of formal ballet training and many years of choreography, performance and teaching. At a young age Liz became an apprentice dancer with the Utah Regional Ballet and in 2008 became one of their contracted professional ballet dancers. She has taught at many other studios in the valley and has experience with all ages. Liz excited to begin working with the girls at Orem Dance Theatre on Thursday nights for Ballet I and Ballet IV.

Another fantastic addition to this year's teaching staff is Miss Jasmine Gille! Jasmine- originally from Olathe, Kansas - is currently a student at BYU where she is on a Dance Talent Scholarship and a member of BYU's dancEnsemble. She is hard at work towards her Bachelor's degree in Dance Education. She has been dancing for 13+ years and has strong training in Ballet, Jazz & Modern dance. She has had a plethora of teaching experience back home in Kansas along with some classes at BYU. We are excited to have her strength as she works with some of the upper ballet levels and works towards getting these girls in Pointe Shoes!!!!

INTRODUCING......

We are so happy to announce a few new teachers joining our staff this year. We will deeply miss Miss Beth and Miss Cami! They will always be a part of the studio. Check the blog for the next few days to meet a new teacher each day!

Today we will introduce Miss Heather Hughes. Heather filled in a few classes last May when Miss Ashley had her baby so some of you may know her. She recently graduated from BYU - on Dance scholarship - with a Dance Education major. While she was there she performed with the Dancers' Company and was the recipient of many prestigious awards including The Dancers' Company Merit Award and The Up and Coming Performers Award. She was a dance instructor at BYU for the Children's Creative Dance Program and she recently did her student teaching at Lehi High School. She has performed all over the world as she has also been a member of the BYU - Idaho Contemporary Dance Theatre and Dance Alliance Tour. She is a fantastic Jazz, Modern & Contemporary dancer but is also well trained in Ballet. We are so LUCKY & excited to have her permanently join our staff as a Jazz teacher!
